We are proud to share that the Seneca Valley School District's Ehrman Crest Elementary and Middle School has been named the overall winner in the 2024 Rethinking the Future Awards Interior Design Elements Category. The project is a stunning example of learning and design innovation.

A corridor featuring an impromptu space where students are taking part in an activity. The wall features a variety of materials for creative crafts and projects.

Determined to create the best learning space and experience possible for students, our team and the district partnered with the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh on the project. Children's museums and elementary schools essentially work to achieve the same goal — educate and inspire children — but they approach it in different ways.

The result is Ehrman Crest, a building that redefines learning and makes it possible everywhere — in classrooms, yes, but also the school's corridors, outdoor spaces, group learning areas, its solar array and green roof, along peg walls, via environmental graphics and more.

The Rethinking the Future Awards are a global celebration of the most prestigious architecture and interior design solutions each year. An esteemed jury identifies one winner across 40 different categories to represent best-in-class work. We've previously earned the award for our work with the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal and Kaiser Permanente's Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine.

This recognition builds on Ehrman Crest's impressive track record. The project has previously been named a TIME Best Invention of the Year and been profiled by Fast Company, Architectural Record, Smithsonian, Axios and more.
